Arab Finance: Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, accompanied by the leaders of the Ministry and the Egyptian Holding Company for Natural Gas (Egas), The arrival of a new ship to receive the liquefied liquefaction and convert it to its invasive state in preparation for pumping it into the National Gas Network (Reconscious Ship), where the southern sidewalk received at the Long Live Egypt Station at the Alexandria naval port (Energos Power) affiliated to the American company Nefertis, coming from Germany.

The minister stressed that the reception of the new ship comes within the ministry’s plan to secure the necessary natural gas supplies for power stations during the summer, within the framework of a package of integrative measures implemented by the ministries of government to ensure the stability of the electrical network, indicating that the recruitment of the new ship, which is the second of its kind currently, came the fruit of the discussions held with the German government in both Cairo and Berlin during its last visit last March to discuss the rental of the ship to work in Egypt.

He explained that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources continues to support the infrastructure capabilities to receive imported liquefied natural gas, where the system was supported by the new ship as a second re -change ship alongside the currently existing ship in the port of Somid in Ain Sokhna, as well as the contract through the Holding Company for Natural Gas (EGAS) to rent two additional ships that reach successively, bringing the total ships to four, which contributes to raising The efficiency and flexibility of the natural gas supply system for the local market, and its ability to meet the increasing demand, especially during the summer months.

The Minister pointed out that the continuation of the integrative coordination and work between the ministries of Petroleum and Electricity and all the concerned authorities to ensure the sustainability and stability of electric energy supplies.
