Arab Finance: The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced its success in the work of digging the “East Crystal-1” in the Gulf of Suez, which is carried out by the UAE Dragon Oil, through the joint operations company Gabco, according to Statement Ministry of Petroleum.

This discovery comes within the framework of implementing the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources aimed at increasing local production of oil and gas, as one of the basic pillars to contribute to reducing the import bill, and through the work of the new well digging in the integrated concession area in the Gulf of Suez, the expected stock was confirmed before the adult drilling About 8 million barrels, with expectations to exceed this amount. The “East Crystal-1” is the second successful exploratory well that is dug based on the application of the latest seizure scanning technologies, which is the Ceneerate Calendar Survey (OBN), after the success of the well “S. El-Wasl-1”.

The importance of this disclosure, which represents a positive indication of the possibility of recovering production from the cordial fields, especially in the Gulf of Suez and the achievement of new discoveries in it, through the application of modern technologies after it witnessed a natural decrease in its productivity over the years.
