Immortal Petroleum decreased the time of drilling and achieved $ 18 million

Arab Finance: Khalda Petroleum Company, in cooperation with Apache International, has made a remarkable achievement in developing the performance of oil and gas dug operations in Western Sahara fields, according to Statement Issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Where the success stories of the excavation team were reviewed in Khalida, which managed to reduce the average time to connect the drilling pipes from 24 minutes to 18 minutes, and even recorded in some wells unprecedented rates of only 12.5 minutes.

It was also reflected directly on the reduction of the total period of drilling operations, equivalent to 60 days during the year 2024, and the achievement of economic escape estimated at about 3 million dollars, and as a result of this success, the company was able to link 110 wells during the same year, with an improvement in performance exceeding 25%.

In the first half of 2025, the company continued to build on this progress, as it dug 54 wells achieved an additional time improvement by 15% compared to 2024, which resulted in reducing the time of the total digging by 180 days, and a financial save exceeding 15 million dollars.

The company emphasized that it aims to continue this approach during the year 2026, by reducing the linking time to only 12 minutes, within the framework of its strategy that supports continuous innovation and development, in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Petroleum and the Petroleum Authority by achieving the maximum efficiency at the lowest cost.

The company had succeeded in discovering the new Arcadia West field in Western Sahara, and it was able to put it on the production map immediately, according to Statement Issued by the Ministry of Petroleum.

The excavation work in the Arcadia-28 well resulted in the discovery of a high-quality tank at a preliminary production rate of 2500 barrels per day, which confirms the distinctive hydrocarbon capabilities of the region, as it comes a few months after the company discovered the Iris field, which still achieves production of 7500 barrels per day.
