Infinnie Libya completes the first solar power plant in Libya with a capacity of 1 megawatts

Arab Finance: Infiniti Libya, one of the companies of the Infiniti Group, and the free Al -Jouf area, announced the completion and delivery of the first solar power plants in Libya with a capacity of 1 megawatts in the city of Al -Kafra, according to the statement sent on July 21.

The project, which is now full of its full capacity, was delivered on May 25, 2025 before the specified date, and thus represents a qualitative shift in the process of turning the Libyan market to rely on more renewable energy.

This prominent achievement comes just eight months after the two parties signed the project implementation agreement on September 24, 2024, which reflects the speed of the achievement in the development of this station. The operational capacity of the station is 1.14 megawatts, and it was implemented in cooperation with a touch company for general contracting and real estate investment as the main contractor of the project. The station is currently supervising the operation and maintenance of the station, a trained team of local engineers working for the Libyan Ennniti, which comes within the framework of the Infiniti strategy to enable local technical cadres and transfer technological experiences for it.

It is expected that the Al -Kafra Solar Station will produce up to 2,182 megawatts of an hour of sustainable and clean electricity annually, which will cover the needs of the free Al -Jouf area of energy directly.

The solar energy generated by the plant also contributes to reducing the consumption of up to 545,000 liters of diesel annually, and reducing carbon emissions by about 1,300 tons annually, which enhances Libya's direction to enhance environmental sustainability and diversify energy sources.

The project's advantages are not limited to the environmental aspect only, but also played a prominent role in advancing economic and social development in the Al -Kafra region, by providing new job opportunities and building technical capabilities for the Libyan national cadres working in the field of renewable energy.

Commenting on this achievement, Mohamed Ismail Mansour, the founding partner and chairman of the Infiniti Group, said: “I am proud of my Enfnnie and all workers in the project by handing over the Al -Kafra Solar Station in Libya before the specified date, which represents a practical testimony on the strength of local partnerships, and the ability of Libyan competencies and cadres in the service of our common vision in producing clean and reliable energy. Therefore, this station represents a pivotal starting point towards the future He promises clean energy in Libya, and a model for sustainable development we seek to repeat it in other regions.

For his part, Fahd bin Halim, Managing Director of the Envinette Libya Company, said: “This project represents a pivotal turning point for the renewable energy sector in Libya. The operation of Al -Kafra Solar Energy Station does not only mean reducing the consumption of diesel fuel, but it represents the cornerstone of the implementation of more similar projects in Libya. We are also working to expand the production of clean energy to serve the main economic sectors in Libya, including oil and gas And agriculture and industry, which makes sustainable energy a real pillar for the future of sustainable development in Libya. “
