Arab Finance: Company signed Egypt Gas (EGAS)The state-owned Aqaba Development Company signed an agreement with the Jordanian Aqaba Development Company to supply natural gas to the industrial city of Al-Quwairah in Aqaba, Jordan, the Jordanian company announced in a statement. press release.
The implementation of the project is scheduled to take 11 months from the start of construction work. This project will reduce the energy bill, create an attractive climate for investment, and enhance the competitiveness of Jordanian exports, according to what Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh said.
Egypt Gas will undertake the construction of a natural gas pipeline network, infrastructure, a building for control and monitoring, and safety and leakage detection systems to cover the entire area of ​​the Al-Quwaira Industrial Zone with natural gas, with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per hour in the first phase, expandable to 90,000 cubic meters per hour in the future.
About the results of its operations for the financial period ending in 30/06/2024It showed achieving a net profit of 167.619 million pounds, compared to a net profit of 122.811 million pounds for the same period of the previous year.
The company was established in 1983 for the purpose of implementing natural gas projects and establishing, operating, managing and owning pipelines, facilities, facilities, gas systems and all equipment in accordance with the provisions of the law. The company has the right to carry out all work related to these activities.
