Arab Finance: In the context of strengthening cooperation between Egypt and the United States of America in the field of energy, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, met with Adam Cortezi, CEO of the company Sun Africa The American, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss aspects of joint cooperation in oil, gas, renewable energy activities, lower carbon and mining activities.
During the meeting, Eng. Karim Badawi emphasized the strategic relationship between Egypt and America, and the successful partnerships between the oil sector and American companies operating in Egypt, praising the cooperation with Sun Africa, the offer presented from it about its future plans and the expertise they possess and the technical solutions that it provides, which corresponds to the six basic axes of the ministry's work strategy.
Badawi explained that the African continent has promising investment opportunities in the energy sector, and that Egypt as a regional energy center in the region open to everyone to form partnerships to implement projects that meet the continent's energy needs and achieve the interests of all parties.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of joint cooperation in renewable energy and smart infrastructure projects, especially in the areas of solar energy, green energy, carbon capture and storage, stressing the importance of technology exchange and building long -term strategic partnerships that guarantee the transfer of knowledge and the promotion of sustainable investments.
For his part, Cortezi stressed that his company views the Egyptian market as a strategic axis of energy in Africa, pointing to the great support that Sun Africa has from the American government, for the sake of global infrastructure and investment, pointing to the company aspiring to benefit from the distinguished relations between Egypt and America and we seek to benefit from the historical partnership to implement projects in partnership with Enppi and Petrojet companies In Egypt, the Egyptian experience was transferred to African countries, in order to enhance Egypt's position as a regional energy center.
