The president of the company added: The project is being implemented on the basis of construction, ownership and operation (BOO), and the project benefits from the winds of the north of Jabal Al -Zait in the production of clean renewable energy at a very competitive price.
The Prime Minister and his companions moved to inspect one of the turbines (D52), and listened to an explanation from the Eng. After that, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and his companions moved to inspect the turbine (D98) under construction, and during that the Prime Minister identified through the explanation of the paintings on the project site on the work of installing the turbines from the company's officials, as well as the turbine under implementation, and in the meantime, Eng. December 2024 with a capacity of 306 megawatts 4 months before the date, then the second stage in April 194 megawatts, with a total of 500 megawatts so far, and it is planned to finish the third stage in June 2025 with a capacity of 150 MW.
During his tour of the station, the Prime Minister and his companions also listened to an explanation from the engineer Osama Bishai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orascom Construction, who made it clear that the station is being developed, constructed and operated in cooperation with the Red Sea Wind Energy Company consisting of the Federation of Companies: Orascom Construction, Japanese “Tosusho”, Japanese “Euros” and “French Engy”, under the energy purchase agreement for a period of 25 years with the Egyptian Company to Transfer Electricity, the size of investments amounting to about 780 million dollars of foreign direct investment, and it is planned that the station will produce 3050 GB per year, with more than 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
