Google Digital Payment Service Google Wallet has officially started in the country. It is commonly known as 'Google Pay'. City Bank PLC has launched this service based on partnership with Google, MasterCard and Visa. As a result, City Bank customers will be able to make transactions quickly, safe and touching quickly by connecting their MasterCard or Visa Card to the Google Wallet App.
The service was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Westin Hotel in the capital. The chief guest was the governor of Bangladesh Bank. Ahsan H Mansur. The special guest was the US Embassy Charges The Affairs Trissue N Jacobson and Vice Chairman of City Bank Hossain Khaled. Also present on the occasion were City Bank Managing Director and CEO Masroor Arefin, Google Payment Group Product Manager Shammi Kuddus, MasterCard Bangladesh Country Manager Syed Mohammad Kamal and Country Manager of Visa Bangladesh Sabbir Ahmed.
It is learned that from now on, the customer of City Bank will be able to deal with the NFC (Field Communication) facility at the country or abroad by touching the Android phone only at any point of cell terminal. Google has been used to get advanced encryption technology, which ensures customer information safety. As a result, no more plastic card will be required to carry any other plastic card – the smartphone will become the customer's 'digital wallet'. In the case of transactions, the range of this service will be multi -dimensional – on the backyard travel, shopping, movie tickets and various daily tasks can be traded on mobile phones.
