In Lahore, Australia hit 356 runs in response to England's 351 runs, while in Raipur, Sachin Tendulkar's team raised a mountain of 222 runs in 20 overs. Under the leadership of Sachin, India defeated Sri Lanka, while UP Warriors registered the first win in DBPL. The UP team defeated Delhi Capitals by 33 runs.
The first match of the International Masters League T20 tournament was played between the teams of India and Sri Lanka. The Indian Masters team, playing under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar, scored 222 runs for 4 wickets while batting first. Stuart Binny scored the highest 68 runs on her behalf. Binny hit 7 sixes and 3 fours in his 31 -ball innings.

Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh and Gurkirat Singh also played excellent innings for the Indian team. Yusuf Pathan scored 56 runs in 22 balls with the help of six sixes and 3 sixes. He conceded only 4 runs in this over and also dismissed Cikugug Prasanna (1) and Asela Gunaratne (37). In this way, Sri Lankan team could score 218 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. On his behalf, Captain Kumar Sangakkara scored 51 runs in 30 balls. Jeevan Mendis also played an excellent innings of 42 runs. For India, Irfan Pathan took the most 3 wickets. Dhawal Kulkarni, Abhimanyu Mithun and Vinay Kumar took two -2 wickets.
