Women's T20 World Cup: Pakistani captain did work like Sachin Tendulkar, people are saluting, getting praise

New Delhi. The captain of Pakistan, who was almost out of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, has taken a step which requires a lot of courage. Pakistan captain Fatima Sana will return to Dubai for the important match against New Zealand on October 14. Sana had to return home due to the death of her father on October 10. He did not take part in the match against Australia and in his absence Muniba Ali captained the team.

In the absence of the captain, Pakistan had to face defeat by 9 wickets at the hands of current champion Australia. Pakistan missed their young all-rounder a lot as they were all out for just 82 runs. Australia achieved the target in 11 overs.

Sachin's father died during the World Cup

This is not the first time that a cricketer has kept personal sorrow aside and played for the team on the big stage. In the 1999 Men's ODI World Cup, the great Sachin Tendulkar returned to India from England after the demise of his father. He rejoined his team and scored a match-winning century against Kenya.

Senior pacer Diana Baig has been dropped for this important match against New Zealand. She has not been able to recover from the right calf muscle injury suffered in the first match of the tournament against Sri Lanka on October 3. In Baig's absence, Sana's presence becomes even more important for Pakistan's chances of defeating New Zealand.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Naziha Alvi has been included in the team after the approval of ICC. Naziha has played 12 ODIs and eight T20 matches. He has scored 170 runs in the ODI format at an average of 21.25. In T20, he is yet to score in double figures in four innings.
