When will the sixth grandmaster be found, what the new president said after 16 years

Syed Sujauddin Ahmed was last associated with the Chess Federation 16 years ago. After that, he was very isolated from chess. This time an ad hoc committee has been formed in the chess federation. There once again became the president of the old bureaucrat. On his return, he heard that chess should be promoted anew. But he did not hesitate to say that the path is difficult.

He was general secretary for a long time. Then the president. Worked as a member. This is the president again. This is his organizational career with chess. During this period, Bangladesh got four Grandmasters. Apart from one Niaz, Zia, Rifat, Rakib and Rajeev have flourished under him. Since then, no one has become a grandmaster in chess. There is still commotion around the chess arena.

Sujauddin knows and understands it. He told Bengali Tribune, 'I returned as the president of the federation after a long time. Back is working well. Now I am old. I will try to work as much as I can at this age.'

The 77-year-old organizer thinks that if everyone works properly, it is possible to emerge a new grandmaster, 'Actually, the ad hoc committee is not for long. At this time, everyone will take chess forward. For this, I will sit with everyone first. I will see where there is a problem. Then what happens. But it is better to have a select committee. Then there is time to work.'

When will the sixth grandmaster be available in Bangladesh? Neither Fahad Rahman nor Manan Reza can get close to the nest. Sujauddin said, 'It is not possible to make a grandmaster in a few days. This requires long-term planning. Let's see what happens next. But to be an organizer one must have passion, skill, integrity and above all love for the game. I will try my best with everyone.'
