What Farooq said on the issue of players' remuneration in BPL

The Bangladesh Premier League has ended successfully every time but has raised controversy due to the players not getting their remuneration. As per rules, BCB asked the cricketers to pay 50 percent of their remuneration before the start of the tournament. 25 percent during the game and the remaining 25 percent at the end of the game. But even though the BPL is on the ground, the cricketers have not been paid 50 percent.

BCB president Farooq Ahmed gave an assurance in this regard at the Mirpur Sherebangla Stadium today, 'We have taken a different step, telling the franchisees, talking to them directly as the president. So that franchisees feel we are their partner. They are also spending for Bangladesh cricket.

Farooq also said, 'Actually, if you think very simply, why not, but I can't give this answer in one word. That doesn't mean players won't get paid. The situation of the last four months should be seen.

Farooq has spent four months on the board of BCB. About the overall situation at this time, he said, 'Whatever we do, we do it thinking about the outcome. But to get results you need to go through some process. If we can fix the process, it is only the logical sequence that the result will follow. I only have four months you said. Nothing magical can be done in four months.'
