What did Pakistan offer to India this time?

The incident of Indian cricket team buggering when there is a match to be held in Pakistan's field is not a new thing. The 'war' between the two countries is therefore about the 2025 Champions Trophy. No one is talking to anyone here.

Regarding the 2025 Champions Trophy, ICC has not made an official announcement, so many things are being heard. In the meantime, several media including India Today reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) agreed to India's 'hybrid model' proposal. But the PCB has also added some conditions. One of the conditions is that India's matches will be played in Dubai. That is their group stage matches including semi finals, finals all matches. The second condition is if India exits in the group stage, then the semi-final and final will have to be held in Lahore. PCB's condition number three is that any ICC event in India till 2031, Pakistan will play at a neutral venue.

According to reports in the Indian media, the revenue for Pakistan from the ICC should be increased if the PCB's conditions for the hybrid model are met. According to the ICC's current financial model, the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) earns the highest 38.50 percent of revenue. It is more than 2750 crore rupees per year. On the other hand PCB gets 5.75 percent. It is a little more than 423 crores in a year.

2025 to 2031—In these 7 years, 4 major ICC events are scheduled to be held in India. Among which the only women's tournament is the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup. The remaining three are 2026 T20 World Cup, 2029 Champions Trophy and 2031 ODI World Cup. Pakistan cricket team will not go to India to play these four tournaments if the information published in the Indian press is proved to be true.

Although the ICC has not released the schedule yet, British media 'The Telegraph' leaked the Champions Trophy schedule a few months ago. According to the schedule proposed by the Telegraph, the Champions Trophy will be held from February 19 to March 9. The tournament schedule was scheduled to be released on November 11, 100 days before the proposed schedule, but the ICC canceled it at the last minute. Because they will not go to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy as they do not get permission from the Indian government. The BCCI told the ICC that it was not possible due to security reasons.

The ICC held a virtual board meeting on Friday to resolve the issue over the Champions Trophy. But that was only for 15 minutes. No solution came out there. PCB President Mohsin Naqvi yesterday spoke to the media about the Champions Trophy in the ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates. The PCB president said, 'A lot of things are going on. But I don't want to talk more at the moment. It can ruin everything. We have informed the ICC. India has announced their decision.

Champions Trophy was last organized in 2017. Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 180 runs in the final held at London Oval. After 8 years, the Champions Trophy is going to be held again with 8 teams. Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, England, Australia, South Africa, Afghanistan – these teams will play in the 2025 Champions Trophy.
