Two uncapped players in Australia's Test squad against India


Australia has announced a surprise squad for the five-match Test series against India. Nathan McSweeney and Josh Inglis got their first call-ups. McSweeney is scheduled to debut as an opener in the first Test.

McSweeney and Inglis have been included as new faces in the 13-man Test squad. Captain Pat Cummins will lead the pace attack. With Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc. Scott Boland is an option in pace bowling.

Nathan Lyon is the only specialist spinner in the team. Marnus Labuschenne and Travis Head can turn their hands if necessary. Alex Carey will be the first choice keeper. On the other hand, Inglis' inclusion is not as an alternative keeper. He remains in the team as a reserve batter. He is also among the runs in domestic cricket. He is number four in the list of highest run scorers.

McSweeney entered the team after shining in the unofficial Test against the India A team. The first Test of the series starts in Perth on November 22.
