The fifth and final day of the Port Elizabeth Test has been filled with excitement. Hosts South Africa need 5 wickets to win, while Sri Lanka need 143 runs.

Temba Bavuma's innings top score of 66 and Aiden Markram's 55 runs helped Sri Lanka set a target of 348 runs to win as South Africa posted 317 runs in the second innings. With the aim of starting the second innings, the visitors lost 5 wickets and passed the day with 205 runs.

Sri Lanka needed a good start to chase big runs. But that didn't happen, on the contrary they lost 3 wickets for 63 runs, they lost 5 wickets for 122 runs. In this situation, the two batsmen Dhananjaya de Silva and Kushal Mendis took the lead of the Lankan team on the wicket. The duo scored 39 runs unbeaten. They have an unbroken pair of 83 runs for the sixth wicket.
