New Delhi. In the first session of the first day of the Pune Test, 31 overs were played in which 24 overs went to the spin bowlers. Bumrah and Akashdeep could bowl only 7 overs. Spin bowlers mostly kept their speed above 90 km/hour, which gave less time to the batsman. Due to fast bowling, the ball spun less and the Kiwi batsmen got a chance to set on the pitch. After lunch, Indian spinners changed their strategy which also proved beneficial.
