Surprisingly, Venkatesh's price in IPL is Rs. 24 crores

IPL auction is going on in Jeddah. Venkatesh Iyer has surprised there, his price has increased to 23 crore 75 lakh rupees. His base price was Rs 2 crore. Bengaluru and Kolkata have been battling it out to get the 29-year-old all-rounder on the auction table. In the end, his old team, Kolkata, took him in a big amount. The current champions of IPL have opened the auction book with Venkatesh.

Venkatesh got his first IPL team in 2021, joining the Kolkata outfit for a base fee of Rs 20 lakh. In just three years, the price of this all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh has reached around 24 crore rupees. Chennai Super Kings have taken home boy Ravichandran Ashwin. Chennai spent Rs 9 crore 75 lakh to get him back. Ashwin played for Chennai from 2009 to 2015 season. Till now Rishabh Pant has been bought by Lucknow Super Giants for the highest price of 27 crore rupees in the history of IPL.

Australia's David Warner remains unsold. His base price was Rs 2 crore. No Bangladesh cricketer has been sold yet. 13 cricketers of Bangladesh, including Shakib-Mostafiz, have given their names in the IPL auction.
