Spectators flocking to the field to catch a glimpse of their favorite players up close is a rare occurrence. But entering the field, the audience threw coins, such an event is rare. A similar incident happened in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. A spectator entered the field and blew a bunch of 500 rupee notes.
According to Indian media reports, the 7-over match was being played at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan. A spectator suddenly entered the field during the game. As it was a local match, security was not that tight. Two cricketers named Pawan and Fardin were batting. Even after losing 2 wickets in the beginning, their team made 84 runs in 6 overs under the power of Pawan-Fardin.
Out of this, 35 runs from 9 balls came from Pawan's bat. Fardin scored 31 runs in 17 balls. Pawan ran riot from the first ball on the field. Impressed by his batting, a spectator entered the field. Goes straight to Pawan who is at the non-striking end at the time. Before anyone could understand anything, he took out a bunch of 500 rupees notes from his pocket and threw them on Pawan's head. He hugged Pawan and left the field slowly.
Many of the spectators entered the field in excitement after seeing the action of the enthusiastic supporter. Several people are seen picking up the Rs 500 notes scattered in the field. One or two left with the money, but the rest handed over the money to Pawan. The cricketers and umpires looked surprised at the incident. The video of this incident spread on social media. Local BJP leader Varun Patil organized this 7 over contest.
