India are five consecutive women's champions. Bangladesh took away their superiority two years ago. Winning the 2022 championship was no fluke, proving that it won the trophy for the second time in a row. Again, the girls toured the streets of Dhaka in an open-top bus. Before entering the country, there was a warm welcome by air. Star player Sanjeeda shared that thrilling feeling through social media.
On his Facebook page, he published a picture taken with two pilots in the cockpit of the plane with the trophy. Then gave an emotional post.
Sanjeeda wrote, 'Going to play the Saff Championship with the huge pressure of doing well and retaining the trophy as the defending champions and the end of a dream journey to become champions again. To come away with the trophy twice in a row from the home stage while handling the pressure of a huge crowd in the final certainly gives us a distinct boost of confidence.'
He also wrote, 'The moment this film arrived in Bangladesh, the camera was captured with them with the trophy. The warm welcome from the brothers in charge of Biman, the open-top bus coming home will all encourage us to play well again. In 2022, there is an indirect intention of open-top buses, but it has not been said this time. Because we were sure it was supposed to happen this time. And we are grateful for that. Thanks to everyone who was involved in this event. To all those who have always supported us directly or indirectly. Thanks to all the media concerned for bringing this festive moment of ours before the nation and archiving it for future.'
Sanjeeda wants to spend more time on the field where the game has mesmerized the audience. We believe we know how to play better. At the end of the day, if the audience comes to the gallery because of our presence in the field for the whole season, it is a benefit for the country's football. Because everything we do is for the audience. We want to be on the field for all football lovers in this country. For the innocent faces of the little children who stood on the side of the road ignoring the sun to catch a glimpse of us.'
