Rangpur's practice jersey showed the July Uprising

After the fall of the Awami League government in the students' movement, there was a wind of change everywhere. Changes have also come to the cricket board. The new leadership of Bangladesh Cricket Board is bringing change in everything. The BPL, which will start next December, has got a glimpse of many things starting from the movement of the students. A sample of which was seen today Thursday at Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium. Rangpur Riders was the first team to practice. On this day, Rangpur Riders unveiled a special jersey dedicated to the students who died in the July-August agitation. The cricketers practiced wearing that jersey.

The red-green colored jersey depicts the struggle and self-sacrifice of the students in the revolution. The image of the student crowd is depicted holding the flag of Bangladesh in crimson red on the green. The fresh blood of the martyrs is denoted by red paint sprinkled on top. The jersey also features team and sponsor logos near the chest. The green color of the flag dominates most of the background. The theme of blood running down the back is highlighted.

Rangpur Riders are always seen in blue jersey. In practice, something close to color is also seen. Explaining the reason behind the change in jersey, the franchise's team director Shanian Taneem spoke to the media. One question said, 'As you can see, red and green. We usually wear blue theme jerseys in Rangpur Riders. But I feel that since I am going to represent Bangladesh. At least our practice jerseys should have red and green stripes. Down below you can see many people with Bangladeshi flags.'

Basically, this event of Rangpur is to pay tribute to the new Bangladesh, because there has been a change in Bangladesh and how Bangladesh is trying to become a new Bangladesh. In this way, we want to show that Rangpur is not only a team of Rangpur, but a team of the whole Bangladesh by paying a tribute to Bangladesh and using the Bangladeshi flag. '

Shanian Tanim also said, 'I don't think it's just for that. As we are representing Bangladesh. For a bigger picture, there is a big change in Bangladesh, we hope that change will happen in Bangladesh; It will be for good. All in all I think we want to dedicate this jersey to whole Bangladesh. If every corner of Bangladesh sees this jersey and supports Rangpur even a little, that will be a great achievement for us.'
