Due to the growing tensions between India and Pakistan, the rest of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League has been removed in the UAE. The PCB said in a announcement that the remaining eight matches of the season and venue will be officially finalized soon.
Karachi Kings and Peshawar Jalmi were expected to face the Rawalpindi Stadium on Thursday. Earlier, the PCB announced the postponement of the match after a drone was destroyed at the stadium premises. There were also foreign players in the league at that meeting. They requested PCB Chairman Mohsin Nakavi to transfer to the League Emirates.
Cricket website ESPN Cricinfo said foreign players were already on their way to the Emirates. There they will play the rest of the league matches. The PCB is working to determine the schedule of the rest of the match. So it may take a few days to start the next match.
According to the original schedule, the rest of the matches were supposed to be four in Rawalpindi, one Multan and the last three Lahore.
PSL is nothing new in the Emirates. The tournament was started in this country in the 21st. The second edition of the country was also sitting in the country. Due to the Corona epidemic, some parts of 2021 were played in the UAE.
The PSL is late in the international schedule of Pakistan due to the late end. According to the previous schedule, Bangladesh was scheduled to go to Pakistan three days after the final of the league. The first of the two T20s is expected to be the first of the two teams in Faisalabad on May 27. The PCB has not yet decided on what is in the fate of this series, Cricinfo said.
