Nani won four Premier League titles and one Champions League title with Man United. The former Portugal winger retired from professional football on Sunday.
Nani, 38, started his career at Sporting CP. In 2007, Man United's former legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson signed a contract with him. Nani moved to Fenerbahce on a permanent deal after eight years.
Nani has played in 10 clubs in his 19-year career. He also played football in Türkiye, Spain and the United States. He signed a contract with Estrella Amadora, a city near his birthplace, earlier this year.
“Everything comes to an end,” Nani said in a statement. I took time to make a very important decision. Probably the most important decision of my professional life, the decision to end the game as a professional player. I'm putting my boots on. I am doing this thinking that my duty has been fulfilled. I believe it has been a beautiful career, full of many achievements.'
Nani scored 130 goals in 620 career matches. He was a member of the Portugal team that won the only European Championship in 2016.
