Old, Russell is back against England

West Indies are getting a full strength team for the first two T20Is against England. Akil Hossain, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell are back.

However, they did not play in the previous series against Sri Lanka due to personal reasons. Hetmyer has since been brought back into the ODIs against England.

Most of the squad members are unchanged from the 2-1 series loss against Sri Lanka. Alik Athanez, Andre Fletcher, Fabian Allen and Shamar Springer are out. The spot is held by the yet-to-be-debuted Terrance Hinds. Matthew Ford replaces Algerian Joseph, who has been banned for two matches.

About the team, West Indies head coach Darren Sammy said, 'The T20 team is our most balanced and experienced. Looks like it will get tough in 11th grade. Because everyone's position is challenging for every spot. Since facing a good team like England. Hopefully, we can play our own brand of cricket dying to win.'

The first two matches of the series will be held on Sunday and Monday.

West Indies Squad: Rovman Powell (captain), Roston Chase, Matthew Ford, Shimron Hetmyer, Terrance Hinds, Shai Hope, Akil Hussain, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Moti, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford and Romario Shepherd.
