No IPL team bought Mustafiz this time


Despite the discussion, Mustafizur Rahman did not get a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The base price of the left-arm pacer in the 2025 IPL mega auction was Rs 2 crore. His name also came up on the second day of the auction in Jeddah today. But no franchise showed interest in buying him.

Mostafiz played for Chennai Super Kings in the last IPL season. He has previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals along with Chennai in this Indian franchise tournament.

Mostafiz took 14 wickets in 9 matches in the last IPL for Chennai. He was brilliant even before that. In his debut season in the IPL in 2016, he took 17 wickets at 6.90 runs per over and was instrumental in Hyderabad's title win.

Seber received the Best Emerging Cricketer award. Mustafiz is the only foreign cricketer to win this award so far. He took 14 wickets in 14 matches for Rajasthan in 2021 IPL.

Along with Mostafiz, Rishad Hossain is the first time in the IPL auction. The base price of this leg spinner was Rs 75 lakh. No team showed interest in buying him.
