A PCB source has said that there will be no photoshoot or press conference of captains in Pakistan before the Champions Trophy. ICC has also been talked about for this.
A source of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Thursday that teams are playing series at different places before the Champions Trophy. Due to the busy programs of the journey, these teams are being in a state of unavailability. Due to this, the press conferences of the captains have been forced to cancel the press conference before the tournament.
The source said, 'The thing is that the program of all the teams is busy before the tournament. England and India are playing T20 and ODI series. The Australian team is playing Test and ODI series in Sri Lanka. Due to this, England team will reach Pakistan on 18 February Lahore and Australian team on 19 February.
He also said that PCB will organize a program to start the tournament in Lahore on 16 February instead of the official opening ceremony. According to tradition, the captains of all the participating teams gather to be photographed before the tournament before the start of the ICC tournament.
The Champions Trophy is to be played from 19 February to 9 March, whose matches will be played in Pakistan and Dubai. India will not go to Pakistan due to security reasons.
