Regarding the injury on Thursday, BCB physio Debashish Chowdhury said in a statement, 'Mushfiq suffered an injury on his left index finger at the end of Afghanistan's batting innings. After x-ray, it was found that he has fractured finger. Now in BCB treatment. As a result, he will not play in the second and third ODIs.
“He (Mushfiqur) is not playing Tests against West Indies,” a selector told Cricbuzz. It will take a month or more for him to recover. We have time before the ODI (against West Indies), we will see how much he improves and decide.'
Due to injury, Mushfiq came down to bat at number seven in the first ODI. And Bangladesh lost the last eight wickets by just 23 runs. Mushfiqur returned after being stumped for just 1 run in three balls in the losing match.
