Liverpool won with Salah's double goal


Liverpool fell behind at one point against Southampton in a goal-for-goal match. Mohamed Salah made the difference with his second goal late on. The Allreds consolidated the top position of the English Premier League table by winning 3-2.

Liverpool took the lead in the 30th minute thanks to Southampton's mistake. Dominik Solsober scored with a strong shot after a wrong pass by a host player.

Southampton get a penalty three minutes before the break. Liverpool foul inside the box. In the 42nd minute, Adam Armstrong's spot kick was blocked by the keeper, but he rattled the net with the return shot.

Southampton took a 2-1 lead in a sudden attack in the second half. Mateus Fernandes scored from the counter attack. In the 65th minute, Salah took a touch as he floated in the air, and the onrushing goalkeeper could do nothing.

The penalty whistle blew against Southampton in the 83rd minute. Salah made no mistake to score from Yukinari Sugawara's handball spot kick.

In this victory, Liverpool is at the top with 31 points in 12 matches. Arne Slott's men are eight points ahead of four-time current champions and number two Man City (23).
