Kings won the exciting match

Bashundhara Kings and Fortis FC have come a long way from the 'A' Group in the Federation Cup Football Qualifiers. Kings beat Police FC 3-2 in a thrilling match. In the other match, Fortis FC won easily 3-0 against Dhaka Wanderers.

Fortis are at the top with 7 points after winning two and drawing one of the three matches in the group. Kings got 6 points with two wins and one loss in the tied matches. They are in second place.

Three goals in 11 minutes at Kings Arena sealed the match. Kings took the first lead in 6 minutes. Tapu Burman's flick on Miguel's corner went into the net. Police FC equalized in the next minute. Al Amin put the team back in the game with a perfectly placed shot after running in behind Isa Faisal's low cross from the left flank to weave between two defenders. In the 11th minute, Mujibur Rahman Johnny took a quick turn and passed between the two inside the box. Fernandez made no mistake when it went to Miguel who was on the side and shook the net. After the break there was more trouble.

In the 52nd minute, Fernandez, who was in the gap from the very front of the post, just changed the speed of the ball from Miguel's pass. Police reduced the gap again two minutes later with a goal from Al Amin. The police forward made the scoreline 3-2 with a Konakuni shot from a difficult angle past the goalkeeper Shraban who came out from Kazem Shah's defense slit pass to the post.

The police players could not avoid the loss despite trying for the rest of the time. Tita's team won after three consecutive matches in league and federation cup.

Meanwhile, Wanderers could not stand up to Fortis FC at the Shahid Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Comilla. Fortis led 1-0 in the first half. Newcomer Joy Kumar scored twice before Piyas Ahmed Nova's third goal late on.
