India withdrew from the World Cup


Reigning champions India have withdrawn their names from the 2024 T20 World Cup for the visually impaired. The fourth world cup for visually impaired cricketers is scheduled to start from tomorrow. But this World Cup will be in Pakistan.

India's Union Sports Ministry allowed their team to visit Pakistan, but the External Affairs Ministry blocked the Indian team's visit. Shailendra Yadav, a top official of the Blind Cricketers Association of India, said, 'We sought permission to travel 25 days before for the World Cup. I did not get permission even though the World Cup was approaching. I called They said they will not be allowed to remove the name from the World Cup.

The head of Pakistan Blind Cricket Association, Sultan Shah, however, said, “Even if India withdraws, the World Cup will be held on time.” This world cup for blind cricketers will start on November 2 and end on December 3. Sultan Shah also said, 'India has not yet written about their withdrawal.'

Earlier, India announced that it would not be able to tour Pakistan for the 2024 ICC Champions Trophy. They will not send the Indian team to Pakistan. BCCI wants Champions Trophy in hybrid model. ICC has not yet given any decision on this matter. In this regard, the highest regulatory body of cricket is supposed to publish the schedule of the Champions Trophy today.

India has won the previous three T20 World Cups for the visually impaired each time. They won a hat-trick of titles by defeating Pakistan in the 2012 and 2017 World Cups and lastly Bangladesh in the 2022 World Cup in Bengaluru.
