Bangladesh will play two FIFA international friendly matches against Maldives, which is ahead in FIFA ranking. The preparation of the national team has started from today with two matches ahead of November 13 and 16. 15 footballers from the preliminary list of Bangladesh national football team joined the residential camp at Intercontinental Hotel.
Forward Armaan Faisal Akash did not join the camp today due to illness. Instead of him, SAF under-20 winning striker Pius Ahmed Nova has joined the national team camp.
Bangladesh national football team will practice on the field tomorrow Saturday at Bashundhara Sports Complex.
Javier Cabrera, the Spanish coach of the national team, told the media, “Even though the Maldivian team has not played international matches for several days, there is no doubt about their strength. They are good team. We have to prepare to win against them. We are moving towards that goal.'
Regarding regular captain Jamal Bhuiyan not being in the team, Kabrera said, 'Jamal is in Denmark for personal reasons. We are with him. He is in touch with her.'
