India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya returns to the top of the ICC T20 rankings. After the four-match series against South Africa, he became number one again. The 31-year-old all-rounder was at number three, behind England's Liam Livingstone and Nepal's Dipendra Singh Airey.
Hardik led India's innings with 39 runs in the second game of the four-match series. Then in the fourth match he took 1 wicket with 8 runs in three overs. India won the series by 3-1. Hardik tops the T20 all-rounder rankings for the second time. He achieved this feat for the first time since this year's T20 World Cup.
Hardik returned to number one after playing the South Africa series. But Tilak Verma has seen incredible progress. He has jumped 69 steps in the batting rankings by scoring centuries in two consecutive matches. His position is now at career best number three. Tilak also became the man of the series after playing a historic two innings. Above him is Australia's Travis Head at number one and England's Phil Salt at number two. Tilak is now India's top-ranked batsman. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav dropped one step to fourth.
India's Sanju Samson scored two centuries in the same series to move up 17 places to 22nd in the batsmen's list.
