West Indies announced a 15-member squad for the two-match Test against Bangladesh. Batting all-rounder Justin Graves returns for the upcoming series. Due to his excellent form in domestic cricket, he got an opportunity to return to red ball cricket after 10 months.
In the current Super Fifty Cup, his score was 401 runs in just 5 matches. The century was three. The average was 133.66. Graves last played a Test against Australia earlier this year. His inclusion in the team means more seam bowling options for the Caribbean.
Another surprise addition to the team is off-break bowler Kevin Sinclair. He has played two Tests so far.
All-rounder Jason Holder is out of the squad as he is yet to recover from a shoulder injury.
Jason Holder has been kept out as an extra precaution. About him, Cricket West Indies chief executive Jonny Grave said, 'The medical panel is very concerned about him. Especially if Holder had bowled against Bangladesh, his injury would have been serious. Then he might have needed surgery and been out for a good while.'
The first of the two Tests in North Sound will be played on November 22. 2nd Test at Kingston on November 30.
