New Delhi. Cricket Australia said on Wednesday (October 16) that the five-match Ashes Test Series between Australia and England will start in Perth, Western Australia. This will be the first time that the Ashes Test will be organized at a new venue. Perth Stadium will become the eighth Australian ground to host an Ashes Test in the rivalry that dates back to 1882.
The first Test will be played in Perth from 21 November 2024 to 25 November, while the second Test will be played in Brisbane from 4 to 8 December, which will be a day-night Test. The third Test will be played at Adelaide Oval from 17 to 21 December. The traditional Boxing Day Test will be played in Melbourne from 26 December and the fifth Test in Sydney from 4 to 8 January. The Ashes are currently held by Australia, who played a draw in England in 2023.
