Wicket-keeper batsman Dilara Akhtar has been included in the women's squad after their first ODI win against Ireland. The Bangladesh Cricket Board added him to the team for the remaining two matches to increase his batting power.
Dilara returned to the team after almost two years. The 20-year-old top-order batter, however, was initially on the standby list.
Dilara made his debut in the 2022 tour of New Zealand. He scored 8 runs in 18 balls in the first match. He was not called to the team after that. Despite returning to ODI after a long time, Dilara was regular in the T20 team.
The remaining two ODIs of the series are on Saturday and Monday. Venue Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium.
