Bumrah got a back injury while playing the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy last January. That is why he did not bowl in the second innings in Sydney. Nevertheless, India was put in the Champions Trophy primary squad. After the last scan, the right -handed pacer is not yet fully bowling after the scan. The BCCI, however, waits for him till the last day The ICC had set a time till February 7 to make the initial team change. The BCCI was forced to change the party.
Not having boumra is a huge push for India. He is one of the three formats in the team. He was in great rhythm against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
