BCB wants to bring Hollywood star in BPL

The excitement before BPL is not seen much anymore. After IPL, this domestic franchise cricket league of Bangladesh started with big plans. Despite starting much later, franchise cricket in other countries has progressed but BPL has lagged behind. However, this time, the league authorities and BCB want to introduce BPL to the world.

BCB Board Director Nazmul Abedin Fahim told the journalists that message of hope today. He said that the authorities want to bring Hollywood or foreign stars to bring back the glory of BPL. Chief advisor. Board Director Fahim is dreaming because there is an internationally renowned person like Muhammad Yunus, 'The chief advisor is coming forward on his own initiative. They are specifically working on it. How to make it an international standard brand, how to spread it all over the world… Let the world see what the youth of Bangladesh can do, what is the game of Bangladesh.'

Regarding the promotion of foreign stars in BPL, he further said, 'A lot of things are not possible. Not all TVs can be accessed globally. If Professor Yunus comes to the field, gives a speech…if we see a very famous footballer from abroad, a great actor-actress from Hollywood coming here, connecting with it, it will definitely come in the media. And it will be in the media around the world. But that's how it can be propagated. We will try to promote it worldwide. I think it will be possible to do more than what we have been able to do for so long.'

However, Nazmul Abedin Fahim did not reveal who will be brought. He said, “I can't or don't want to say the name right now.” May be cricket or other outdoor sports. Can be outside of sports. I can see someone like that now.'

A few days ago, British news media The Guardian published a report on corruption in franchise cricket worldwide. The name of BPL has also come up there. However, even though no complaint has been received yet, Fahim said that the authorities will be aware of corruption from now on. The board director said, 'Our anti-corruption (anti-corruption) team will be active this time. We will do any anti-corruption programs, awareness of the game or awareness of the management or awareness of the owners. We will aim to prevent these incidents (corruption) from happening. If it happens we will react now. We will try to take appropriate action. Because nothing good seems to come out of chaos. I think the Cricket Board (BCB) or the BPL authorities will look at it strongly.'

Mashrafe bin Mortuzar was burnt to death in the July-August coup as he was a member of parliament of the ousted Awami League government. Shakib Al Hasan could not play the farewell Test back home. Despite getting a team in the draft, the game of the two in this year's BPL is uncertain. Nazmul Abedin Fahim said, 'We have not been able to produce superstars for so long, it is our failure. I hope new superstars will emerge from here. (Mashrafi-Shaqib) would have been better. Of course they have a brand value, no doubt about it. If they are there, then it is one thing, if they are not, it is another matter.'

Although there are many limitations, the board director is optimistic about this year's BPL. He expressed the hope of spreading this tournament all over the world, 'We have to try to spread this occasion all over the world. We may not see BPL on the playing field this time. But this time BPL will spread all over the country in one way or another.'
