Tanjid Hasan Tamim did not get Soumya Sarkar for long in the opening. Liton Das could not survive either. Bangladesh lost two wickets for 46 runs. But Tanjid showed glimpses in the power play. The Bangladeshi opener hit a six in the second over. After catching the ball, he hit four and kept the run record going. In the first powerplay of 10 overs, the score for the visitors was 58 for 2. Tanjid 27 and Miraj 6 runs unbeaten.
Miraj got life after losing Karti's hand
Mehdi Hasan Miraj hit a boundary on the first ball of the tenth over. But he could have been the second victim in two overs from Romario Shepherd. His uppercut shot from deep third ran to the right and Casey Carty couldn't even get hold of the ball. Bangladesh captain got life for the second time in 1 run.
Mirage survives with a review against Shepherd LBW in the previous over.
Bangladesh's fifty on the boundary of Tanjid
Tanjid Hasan Tamim hit Justin Greaves for four in the last ball of the ninth over and Bangladesh's score crossed fifty. The visitors scored 52 runs for 2 wickets in 9 overs.
Liton out for 2 runs, Mirage survives with a review
Incident of the seventh over. Algeri Joseph's ball is caught in Shai Hope's gloves. Windies did not even want to take a review. Later replay caught spiked the bat. Liton Das then 1 run.
The Bangladeshi batsmen could not hold on to this lucky wicket for long. In the next over, Romario Shepherd returned him with the ball in hand. Lytton was caught by Hope in the second ball of the eighth over. He scored only 2 runs off 7 balls. Bangladesh's second wicket fell for 46 runs.
The umpire raised the finger when Shepherd appealed for lbw against Mehdi Hasan Miraj in the same over. The Bangladesh skipper survived the review.
Soumya out after hitting Alzari for two fours
Soumya Sarkar hit Jayden Sills for the first four after scoring just four runs off the first 9 balls. The hand opened then. Alzari hits Joseph for two boundaries in the fifth over. Bangladesh's opener departed as soon as he returned to the rhythm. In that over, Soumya was caught by Shai Hope on the outside edge of the West Indies pacer. He scored 19 runs off 18 balls with 3 fours. Bangladesh lost one wicket for 34 runs in 4.5 overs.
Tanjid hit the gallery with a six off Sills
Bangladesh managed to get three runs off the first 6 balls of Alzari Joseph. Soumya Sarkar and Tanjid Hasan Tamim are playing in the opening. In the next over, Tanjid hit a straight shot over Jayden Sills' head for a six. He hit another boundary in the third over. Soumya Sarkar also hit a four in the fourth over.
