Bangladesh in the final by wearing a garland of goals to Bhutan


Bangladesh made it to the finals of the Saaf women's championship with a goal celebration against Bhutan. Tahura Khatun's hat-trick led the red and green team to a 7-1 thrashing of the hill country. Apart from Tahura's hat-trick, captain Sabina Khatun scored two goals. Besides, Rituparna Chakma and Mashura Parveen scored one goal each.

Bangladesh dominated the first semi-final at Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu from the start. They kept the Bhutanese defense busy with one attack after another. The red-green team made a change and presented football organized from the start. Predominance was also exclusive.

Rituparna Chakma put Bangladesh ahead with a wonderful goal in the seventh minute. Tahura took the ball behind the markers with a great body dodge to attack Ritu on the left. Even after the break, Bangladesh's dominance continued. Tahura Khatun scored a hat trick in 58 minutes. He increased the level of the festival by scoring a great placement. In the other eventful semi-final of the day, the game was tied at 1-1 and went to a tiebreaker. There Nepal beat India 4-2 in the final. On October 30, Bangladesh is the opponent of the hosts in the title fight at this ground.
