After 7 long years, Hong Kong is going to host the six-a-side tournament. Bangladesh is taking part in this tournament under the name of 'Hong Kong Sixes' with only six overs and six players. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a seven-man squad for the tournament under the leadership of Yasir Ali Chowdhury Rabbi.
Apart from Yasir, the team also includes Abdullah Al Mamun, Abu Haider Roni, Jisan Alam, Nahidul Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin and Sohag Ghazi. A total of 12 teams have been divided into four pools or groups. Bangladesh's position is in Pool 'D'. Sri Lanka and Oman are the opponents of Bangladesh.
Also in Pool 'A' are the joint teams of South Africa, New Zealand and hosts Hong Kong and China. Australia, England and Nepal are in Pool 'B'. And in Pool 'C' India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.
This tournament will start from November 1. Being a short length match, the tournament will be completed within three days. Bangladesh will complete two pool or group stage matches against Oman and Sri Lanka on the first day.
