Al Nasr defeated Qatar's Al Khore Al Gharafa 3-1 in the Asian Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in this match on Monday. A fourth win in the group stage put his side on the brink of the knockout stages.
After a scoreless first half, the 39-year-old forward scored back-to-back goals at the break. Ronaldo shook the net by heading the cross of Sultan Al Ghanam.
In the 58th minute, Angelo Gabriel beat the opposition keeper to extend the gap. Ronaldo scored his second goal six minutes later with his assist.
Joselu equalized in the 75th minute but Al Gharafa could not do anything to turn it around. Seido Sano received a second yellow card for a foul on Sadio Mane. Al Gharafa played with 10 men from the 84th minute. However, Al Nasr could not use the opportunity to increase the gap.
Al-Nasr topped Al-Hilal with 13 points in five matches and moved to second place in Group B. Al Gharafa dropped to seven.
Al Nasr will play in the Saudi Pro League against Damak on December 29. Ronaldo's mission to return to victory in domestic football.
