On Tuesday, this brilliant player announced his retirement from T20 International. The third and final match of the current series against India will be their last match in this format.

The last match of the three-match series between India and Bangladesh will be played in Hyderabad on Saturday. Speaking to the media a day before the second T20 International against India, Mahmudullah said, “Yes, I am retiring from T20 after the last match of this series. This was already decided. This is the right time to move on from this format and focus on ODIs.

This 38-year-old player has played 50 Tests, 232 ODIs and 139 T20 Internationals for Bangladesh after making his debut in 2007. This former T20 captain of Bangladesh had said goodbye to his Test career in 2021.
