Abahani's 6-minute storm, Rahmatganj in the qualifiers


Abahani Limited could not score goals despite the average attack. The deadlock was finally broken after a break. The azure-blue jerseys left Youngmen's Fakirpool in a 6-minute storm. After today's results the Youngmen are off. Earlier, however, Mohammedan and Chittagong Abahani were knocked out of the knock-out fight.

Both teams had chances to score at Comilla Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium on Tuesday. In the 8th minute, Abahani's Asadul Mollah entered the box from the right side and created chaos. Then a defender cleared the ball with a quick shot from the goal.

In the 24th minute the Youngmen had a great chance. Akbir Turaev almost got the ball from a back pass by an Abahani player. But he lost his balance, ran fast and got the ball in the glove of the goalkeeper.

After the break, Abahani was unstoppable. They could not be held back any longer. The opponent has been destroyed in a 6-minute storm. Abahani opened the scoring in 65 minutes. Enamul Gazi broke into the box from the right flank when he was tackled by a defender. Referee Nasir Uddin did not take time to blow the penalty whistle. Experienced defender Yasin Khan put the ball into the net from the spot kick. Abahani increased the gap two minutes later. Hasan Murad gave a great goal to the team after overlapping.

Abahani scored the third goal in the 71st minute to completely knock out the Youngmen. Mahadi Yusuf entered the box from the right side and took the space with a powerful left foot shot to give the fans another occasion to celebrate.

Meanwhile, Rahmatganj beat Chittagong Abahani 3-0 at Kings Arena. Rahmatganj went ahead in the 32nd minute of the match. Egypt's Mustafa Abdul Khalek beat the goalkeeper with a great shot after entering the box after playing one-two with one player. In the 41st minute, the free-kick of the life was stopped by the goalie. The old Dhaka team doubled the lead in the next minute. Raihan's long throw in was a life shot cleared by one.
