New Delhi. Young fast bowler Harshit Rana bowled brilliantly on the second day of the two-day practice match against Australia Prime Minister's XI. In this rain-affected match, Harshit pushed the host team on the backfoot by taking 4 wickets. He sent four Australian batsmen to the pavilion within 6 balls. Harshit has gone on Australia tour for the first time. A two-day day-night practice match was to be played between India and Australia Prime Minister's XI but due to rain, the toss could not be held on the first day. Rain disrupted play on the second day too, after which the match was reduced to 46-46 overs instead of 50.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Australia Prime Minister's XI to bat first. Australia Prime Minister's XI scored 240 runs with the help of opener Sam Konstans 107, Jack Clayton 40 and Hanno Jacob 61 runs. For India, Harshit Rana took the maximum of 4 wickets for 44 runs in 6 overs while Akashdeep took 2 wickets. Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each.
