Indian cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi, aged just 13. On the second day of the IPL mega auction, Rajasthan Royals bought him for Rs 1 crore. Never before in the history of IPL has a player been auctioned at such a young age.
Hailing from India's eastern state of Bihar, the left-arm batsman and spinner took part in the Jeddah auction with a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Rajasthan bought him after a fight with Delhi Capitals.
Vaibhav made his Ranji Trophy debut against Mumbai last January as the second youngest player. He has not yet been able to make an impression in domestic cricket. However, he was in the emerging Asia Cup squad earlier this year. Recently, he scored a century for the U-19 team in the four-day match against Australia in Chennai.
