IT service sector head Wipro has made just 612 new recruits in the fourth quarter of 2025 last financial year. The reason for this is the possibility of an atmosphere of uncertainty in the company world in the near period and a cautious attitude towards a large number of recruitments. During the entire year, only 1,032 new people were employed in the company.
Last year, the number of voluntaries in the company voluntarily increased to 15 per cent against 14.2 per cent of a year ago. The total use except the trainees was 84.6 percent, which is less than the 86.9 percent of a year ago.
The company's chief human resource officer Saurabh Govil said that there is still scope to improve the use in low demand environment. The IT Seva Company said that it has recruited about 10 to 12 thousand engineers from colleges in the last financial year. But she did not say how many people would she appoint in the current financial year, as companies are moving slowly in appointments. It is expected that due to decrease in projects and cancellation of projects, further appointments may be affected.
