The Delhi High Court on Thursday ordered yoga guru Ramdev to remove an objectionable video targeting ‘Rooh Afza’ producer Hamdard from the social media platform within 24 hours. The order was passed after he was charged with contempt over his controversial ‘sharbat jihad’ statement against the drink.

Earlier, the court had ordered them not to release or share any statement or video related to the products of other competitors including Hamdard in future. However, on Thursday, Hamdard’s lawyer told the court that Ramdev had again circulated a video with objectionable content. As a result, Ramdev was ordered to remove the objectionable portion of the video related to Hamdard and its products from all social media platforms and other media platforms within 24 hours.
Justice Amit Bansal said, ‘In view of the previous order, this video and the affidavit filed by you, prima facie amount to contempt. I will now issue a contempt notice. We are calling them here.
