Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Thursday that the regulatory system not only provides security for better governance, but it also increases the efficiency of enterprises, increase in formalization and confidence in the system.
Speaking at the inauguration of the corporate building in Kolkata, Sitharaman said the government sees the private sector as a reliable partner in development. The first facility for Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) in this corporate building. Will be the center.
Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Sitharaman said, ‘We are committed to strengthening institutions that promote business regulations, encouraging entrepreneurship, accountability and transparency in corporate governance, and supporting a culture of innovation and skill development.’
The Finance Minister said that ease of doing business is a key component of the government’s vision to make India a global economic superpower. He said, ‘There are many uncertainties in this era of rapidly changing global policy scenario. We strongly believe that the most effective path to building economic resilience is to build domestic efficiency and competitiveness.’
The corporate building will house various offices of MCA, including Regional Directorate (East), Registrar of Companies, Liquidator Office, Serious Fraud Investigation Office, NCLT (Kolkata branch) and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board under one roof.
The opening of the Facilitation Center for PMIS will help interested interns to obtain application related information and related information.
This center will facilitate the PMIS registration and application process for eligible candidates. Besides, professional career counseling and guidance will also be available at this centre. This will provide information about suitable internship opportunities as per the candidate’s qualifications and interests. The Finance Minister said that this center will spread awareness about professional opportunities through outreach programmes.
