Indian IT service companies have not yet received major deals in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Geornial AI (GenAI). But they are being used more and more to reduce costs and increase project efficiency. Due to this, customers are facing some part of their savings to re -invest in the initiatives related to desire, even though the current environment is full of uncertainty.
The increasing use of AI and GenAI suggests a change in the cost of saving in the cost of traditional IT projects which is more known as a run-side. It has gained momentum in the last three years as the popularity of traditional cost savings techniques such as labor arbitrage and standardization of IT processes is decreasing.
Enterprises of all fields have started feeling that the cost will not get expected savings until technologies like AI and JaneAI are used in projects. IT service officials say that this is a trend that has become a part of all discussions.
Kritivasan, Chief Executive of TCS, said that although traditional cost adaptation deals are again in discussion, they also include additional factors, such as seller consolidation or AI-based cost optimization.
He told business standard, 'In certain deals, AI can help reduce costs. For example, we told one of our customers that they can save 20 percent cost by including AI in some part of their portfolio. After this, the customer asked us the ways of handling the big portfolio, adopting AI solution and equal savings in all fields.
Infosys said that most of its customers are focusing on important productivity benefits in areas such as process solutions, engineering and customer service.
