Khair Bypoll Election 2024: The date of by-elections to be held on all 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh has changed. Earlier voting was to be held on 13th November, however now elections will be held on 20th November. There are mixed reactions from political parties on changing the election date. With the extension of the date, political parties will get additional time for election preparations.
The political tug of war has also intensified in Khair assembly seat of Aligarh. With the extension of voting date, the candidates for the Khair seat have started wooing the voters with new strategies. Here, especially those parties who are trying to reach out to the public and attract voters by fielding their leaders can benefit here.
Will there be any benefit from extending the date?
In fact, due to the postponement of the by-election date, political parties have now become more cautious. To woo the voters, all the parties are fielding their veteran leaders for campaigning, so that a large crowd can be brought to their side. Charuken, the Samajwadi Party candidate from the Khair seat, remains a topic of discussion. The reason for this is that Charuken had invited SP MP from Kairana Iqra Hasan for the election campaign. SP is trying to break into the Jat vote bank in Khair seat with the help of Charuken. Well, SP's defeat on this seat may bring disgrace to the other 6 seats in the area. Samajwadi Party does not want to lose this opportunity. In the last assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party stood second here.
