Jamaat-e-Islami held Iftar party in honor of diplomats


Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized an iftar party in honor of the diplomats. This Iftar Mahfil was organized in the LD Hall of Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan today Saturday. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Distinguished diplomats of the country and abroad, representatives of international organizations and dignitaries participated in it.

Diplomats present included the United States, China, Russia, United Kingdom, Palestine, European Union, Canada, India, Turkey, France, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vatican City, Iran, Brunei Darussalam, Maldives, Algeria, Kosovo, Egypt, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Australia, Norway, Nepal, Philippines, Netherlands, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Ambassadors of Switzerland, South Korea and other foreign organizations including UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, UNODC, Democracy International, IOM.

Among the Jamaat leaders present were Naib Amir Professor Mujibur Rahman MP, Secretary General former MP Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Ma’chum, Advocate Muazzam Hossain Helal, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan MP, Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, Central Executive Council Member. In the president’s speech, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman MP expressed his sincere gratitude to the present diplomats, representatives of international organizations and honored guests.

He said that Bangladesh wants to build a more positive and balanced relationship with the world community on the basis of mutual respect, cooperation and constructive relations. He expressed hope that the relationship between Bangladesh and the international community will be stronger in the coming days based on mutual understanding, justice-based position and human values.

He also said that the teaching of Ramadan calls people towards moderation, compassion, justice and human welfare. If these values ​​are embodied in individual, society and state life, it will be possible to establish a peaceful, just and welfare-oriented society. He wishes for the peace, security and prosperity of the country, nation, Muslim Ummah and the entire world humanity.
